What about those other combinations I keep seeing?

The "alphabet soup" of orientation and gender identity can sometimes be confusing. In addition to LGBTS, you may see GLBT, LesBiGay, or even combinations with additional letters:

Q:		Questioning, Queer
I:		Inquiring, Intersexed or Intersexual
SBNN:		Straight But Not Narrow (yes, it's real)
SGL:		Same Gender Loving (used primarily in the African American community)

Various contributors to our community may use different abbreviations according to their preferences.
