Mel White shares the stories of gay and lesbian Christians who have written to his organization, Soulforce, and to the Metropolitan Community Churches in an attempt to reconcile their sexual orientation and religious beliefs. Dr. White also discusses his work in civil disobedience and his interactions with conservative religious figures.

Rev. Dr. Mel White is a Christian minister, author and filmaker.  He has founded Soulforce with his partner, Gary Nixon, as a force for nonviolent resistance in the spirit of Ghandi and Martin Luther King, Jr. for achieving political and religious freedom for GLBT people.
